Hi Ron

That seems to have reduced the time dramatically, thank you so much.

We set the timer to 1 minute and it took almost exactly 2 mins to clear. Is there any other sort of delay in the reporting.

Thanks again
Hi Everyone

Could someone please advise if there is a way to modify the timing out of a client in the "Clients by VNS". When we disconnect a client, it stays in the report on the WLC for quite some time (around 10-15 minutes). This information is propagated in to Netsite and NAC also.

Thanks

Hi Simon,

you'd set the idle timeout (default 30minutes) in the WLAN service.

GUI > VNS > WLAN Services > select a service > Advanced > Timeout Post
1Minute is very strict - that will result in a lot of disconnect because of idle timeout and the clients must reauthenticate - not sure whether that is a good idea to set such a low value.

There is a slight delay for the reports as the APs don't sent the data every second.
Ron

We dont want to kick clients of when they idle. What we want is the client connection report in the Clients by VNS report to update in a timely fashion.

Hi Simon,

Please make sure the Radius accounting option is enabled on NAC manager to see the end device report in a timely fashion.

Netsight account manager --> device(controller)--->Radius accounting --->enabled ---> ok

Thanks,
