Overnight we had some APs randomly start what looks like an LED Code and will no longer connect. The Controller can’t find them and no matter what I connect them to they come up with this light code. Some are connected to the same switch some different switches. Some on the the switch are working some aren’t. I even opened a new AP out of the box and it’s doing this. Can’t find anything online about what the LEDs are trying to tell me.

<OEMBED url="https://youtu.be/C_hj_HaQY8g"></OEMBED>

My DHCP server is giving them an IP address and they are able to ping. DHCP also has the Wireless Controller enabled in the Scope. Half the APs are working and the other half are not, all in the same physical building and all on the same VLAN.

If I try and console into any of the APs that are having the issue this is what I basically receive. Telnet is not working on them either.

Not sure what the issue was, but if anyone else has this issue I solved it by completely deleting DHCP Scope Option 78 and rebuilding it. The controller then found the APs and connected them.

Recently had a customer call and his aps just lost their mind on finding the controller. They are on same subnet so multicast should have worked. Ended up adding dns entry and APs came back online. Just mentioning this, just in case there is a pattern forming here.
