Hello community ,

Seen rim process in high load sometimes, even cause a triggering pm for restarting:

%DIAG-4-CPU_LOAD: 1 minute average load limit exceeded, value is 100.0% limit is 99.9% (top processes: rim using 24.9)

Distributed, l3 adoption with VX. In this site about 40 aps.

Any ideas why rim process should be in high load sometimes ?

Thanks,

Aviv

Aviv, what version of WiNG?

There have been periodic issues in the past with some WiNG versions that might be explained by what you’re describing here, but need to know the version to see if there are any fixes mentioned in any of the Release Notes.

Aviv, I can see that there are three RIM issues that were resolved in the WiNG 5.9.7 release.

I can’t tell if any of these three match with the problem that you are describing, but my recommendation (if not yet wanting to contact GTAC about this) is to take one AP and upgrade it with the 5.9.7 code and see if the problem is resolved. If it’s not, you’ll need GTAC’s assistance to analyze this.
