Hi all,
My company uses AP-7522 for wireless system. I want block Facebook, Youtube and streaming of video and music in AP-7522.
I used Application Policy to block them. But i can only block Facebook in browser of laptop or Desktop; Facebook in Mobile Phone is not blocked. And Youtube is not blocked in both Laptop, mobile phone. And i don't know how to block streaming of video and music.
Why is it not possible to block a user, that is already login? If I create a Application Policy and block HTTPS CN facebook for example, I'll assume, that you block all traffic.
can you share the app policy configuration. again, when you block a application or a category it gets instantly blocked. the problem is client cache, and we can't do anything about.
try block facebook and then try to load some new data on clients, 100% you won't be able to load furthur more.

Hi,

On the AP-7522, Application Policy alone usually blocks Facebook only in desktop browsers. Mobile apps and YouTube often bypass it because they use HTTPS and multiple backend domains, so the AP cannot always identify them just by the application signature. The better method is to add Firewall rules and block the main domains used by these services (such as Facebook and YouTube related domains: https://theytpremiumapk.com/) and then apply that firewall policy to the WLAN or user role used by the clients.

For video and music streaming, the AP cannot perfectly detect all streaming traffic since most services are encrypted today. The usual approach is to block known streaming domains or apply bandwidth limits to streaming categories if the firmware supports it. If strict blocking is required for both laptops and mobile apps, many networks use a separate firewall or web filtering gateway behind the Wi-Fi to handle deeper traffic inspection.

Regards

Hi,

That’s a solid explanation and pretty much aligns with what I’ve seen in similar setups. Relying only on Application Policy can be limiting, especially with HTTPS and how modern apps distribute traffic across multiple domains.

Using firewall rules to block key domains and applying them at the WLAN or role level is definitely a more reliable approach. For stricter control, combining that with an external firewall or filtering gateway makes a big difference, especially when dealing with mobile apps and encrypted traffic.

I’ve also come across similar discussions while researching app behavior and traffic handling on platforms like manoknapulaapp, where it’s clear how diverse backend connections can bypass simple filtering methods.

Overall, your approach makes sense for achieving more consistent blocking across devices.

Blocking apps like Facebook and YouTube on access points can be tricky, especially on mobile since many apps use HTTPS or different endpoints that bypass simple filters. You might need to look into DNS filtering or more advanced firewall rules instead of just application policies.

Funny enough, dealing with these kinds of restrictions reminds me of how some lightweight games like Geometry Dash Lite are optimized to run smoothly even with limited access or resources. If you're curious, you can check out Geometry Dash Lite and see how it works across different devices.

Looks like the AP-7522 isn’t fully enforcing policies due to encrypted app traffic (HTTPS/QUIC) and differences between mobile apps and browsers. You may need DPI with SSL inspection and updated app signatures for consistent blocking.

This kind of inconsistency is similar to how Sephora handles returns—where outcomes can vary by channel or condition. In both cases, clear rules and consistent enforcement are key.

In WiNG AP-7522, blocking platforms like Facebook and YouTube completely (especially on mobile apps) can be tricky because mobile apps don’t always rely on simple domain-based access like browsers do. Application Policy alone often isn’t enough since apps use encrypted traffic and dynamic IP. To properly block them, you should combine Application Visibility & Control (AVC) with Layer 7 firewall rules and also consider using DNS filtering. For YouTube and streaming services, enabling SSL inspection or using a third-party content filtering service can significantly improve blocking accuracy. Additionally, restricting access via category-based filtering (social media, streaming) gives better results across both desktop and mobile devices. If you're testing different communication or app-based tools in your network environment, you can also check out the bombit app as an example to understand how modern apps bypass traditional filtering methods and why advanced policies are required.

Use a firewall/content filter—AP-7522 application policy won’t block YouTube/Facebook apps properly because of HTTPS and CDNs. You need gateway-level filtering or SSL inspection.

It seems like the filtering setup on the AP-7522 isn’t fully catching modern app traffic, especially from mobile devices. Apps like Facebook and YouTube often use encrypted connections and dynamic domains, which can bypass basic application policies. To properly block them, you may need more advanced controls like DNS filtering, SSL inspection, or firewall-level rules to manage video and music streaming effectively across all devices. Interestingly, similar precision and control are also important in tools like Delta Executor, where performance and handling of complex processes play a key role—showing how optimized configurations can make a big difference in any tech environment.
