I have a AP-7522-67030-EU in my home connected to a tplink router with DDWRT firmware .
Is it possible to use it without installation and only leaning on a shelf like in photo?

The orientation is not ideal. The ideal orientation would be horizontal facing down.

Joe, were talking about ideal orientation and how this AP was intended to be installed, but at the end of the day you can position it any way you want if it provides you with adequate coverage, but you may not have much of it behind the AP.
