I have configured a captive portal for the guest user in my Motorola ap6511, but I am not able to find the option where I cal specifies the captive portal user pool.

I would assume you are talking about the radius user pool policy?

CLI commands:
#conf t
#radius-user-pool-policy
#?
Radius User Pool Mode commands:
duration Set a guest user's access duration
no Negate a command or set its defaults
user Radius user configuration

clrscr Clears the display screen
commit Commit all changes made in this session
do Run commands from Exec mode
end End current mode and change to EXEC mode
exit End current mode and down to previous mode
help Description of the interactive help system
revert Revert changes
service Service Commands
show Show running system information
write Write running configuration to memory or terminalOnce done, don't forget to map the pool to your radius configuration:
#conf t #radius-server-policy #use radius-user-pool-policy #com wr Chris

Hello,

I think AP6511 doesn't support Radius feature. Even AP6521 also support for demo purpose only.
It seems HW spec limitation.
I am not sure how is current version.

Yes, you are right. radius user pool command doesn't work on AP6511 but I don't know then why did they give captive portal feature.

I think we can use external Radius server, or WiNG controller, or maybe SNS authentication such as Facebook, Google.

Anyway, Low tier AP model have limitation. nothing much they can do as standalone.
