Hello guys,

For somewhat in WING 5.9.7 the max clients reduced from 256 to 200 for AP7532 with this message:

Exceeded max clients per radio 256/200 on the wlan XXXXX, supported on the platform ap7532

Not seen any notes in release notes.

It will be fixed back to 256 clients limit?

Hello Aviv,

Loaded 5.8.6.0, 5.9.1.2, 5.9.6.0 and 5.9.7 or our AP7532 and they all gave me the exact same results:

ap7532(config-device-84-24-8D-11-9B-8C-if-radio1)#max-clients ?
<0-200> Maximum number of clients allowed to associate with this radio
subject to AP limit

Don’t see this as being a limitation of 5.9.7 that needs to be fixed.

You can have up to 200 wireless clients per radio and a max of 256 per AP:

AP7602/7632/7662 - 128 per radio, 256 per AP

Not sure about 3xx/4xx, 5xx is 256/500-capable.

Just to make sure - is there any particular use case behind this? The more clients on the same channel, the less throughput per client is going to be available due to airime saturation.
