Will this AP work in standalone mode with the newly release 7.9.0.0 Wing firmware?

Also it seems the flash UI is no longer included so configuration can only be done through CLI?

Hello oxoyoz,

The AP5010 running WiNG v7.9.0.0 requires a wireless controller (e.g. VX9000, NX55xx, NX75xx) for adoption. The AP5010 does not support WiNG Stand-Alone mode. If using a WiNG Controller, UI is supported. The other option would be to use ExtremeCloud IQ (XIQ).

Does this ap only work with Extreme Networks brand controllers? Also if I use XIQ can i connect to a random router and get Ip address? Thanks
