Does AP5010 (universal APs) work with any routers

Curious if this AP work with any brand of routers, or does it require Extreme Networks' AP controller to manage?

My current plan is to connect 3 APs to a consumer brand router and use XIQ to to manage AP's basic functions -- will this setup work?

Hello oxoyoz,

You can onboard and manage the APs straight into XIQ thus circumventing the need for a controller. But if you want to use a physical controller, it will have to be an Extreme Networks controller (WiNG distributed or Centralized) but then you will manage the APs via the controller and only monitor them via XIQ.
