Radio 2 is not supported in Mexico (AP410i-ROW; VE6120 Controller)

We are configuring VE6120 Small Controller (Firmware 05.06.01.0035) and adding AP410i-WR, but we can not turn on Radio 2.

We create a Site for Mexico Country, but in this Site radio 2 is not working. If we create a Site for example UK, this one works.

Any suggestion?

AP410i-WR SKU supports Mexico country code, if it was an issue with WR SKU support for Mexico then both radios won’t turn on. Looks like an issue with country power tables to me. I would recommend you upgrade the XCC controller to the latest 5.16.x and then upgrade your APs to the latest firmware using the XCC.

Your XCC Firmware 05.06.01.0035 runs one of the first builds that supported AP410i, chances are power tables were not available/updated for all the countries in that build.

We updated our controller ECA-05.16.01.0025-1.dle version and APs automatic updated 7.5.1.0-012R version, but radio 2 is still off in country of Mexico. As I told, if we move AP to UK e.g, radio 2 turn on.

We are using a Major License Manager Controller evaluation license, which expire in 169 days. We will purchase a permanent License soon, but we have needed to start installing and configuring controller and APs before to purchase this one. That is why we are using this one.

Could you check the following and let me know what you have set in this section? It is possible that radio channel settings are causing it to select a DFS channel. coul you also send the AP log and tech support from the XCC.

Was the channel plan set to “All non-DFS channels”? if not, please set it to that, save the settings and wait for a while for the AP to scan and find non-DFS channel to operate on.

The log does show that your AP radio-2 has locked onto some DFS channels which could explain why it appears offline:

I have checked this and as I had suspected, it is a compliance table issue. AP version 7.5.1.1 will have an updated compliance table which will include Mexico. Meanwhile, you can use the UK as a country code.
