Just to add to this, we are seeing the same behavior in our environments.
EP1 currently only reflects cloud-managed devices, so anything under XIQ-SE remains visible only in the classic dashboard or Site Engine.
It can be a bit confusing at first, but it's working as designed. Hopefully future updates will bring a more unified view across platforms.

ExtremeCloud IQ Site-Engine and devices managed through it do not show up in EP1 but they do in XIQ

Hi,

I have a customer that has some native XIQ APs (305C) managed through XIQ and they also have XIQ-SE on prem in connected mode.

When the customer is in their XIQ classic dashboard, all devices are showing connected and displaying correctly. When they hover over the grid icon next to their name and select "ExtremeCloudIQ (NEW)" and switch dashboards to what looks like EP1, they don't see their XIQ-SE server or any switches managed by it. They only see the AP's managed by XIQ Cloud. Their XIQ-SE version is 25.5. I'm just wondering if this is a licensing problem or firmware possibly? I'm still trying to put all the pieces together on how everything works together with EP1.

Hi Jay,

This is expected behavior and it is not related to licensing or firmware. Extreme Platform ONE, shown as ExtremeCloud IQ (NEW), currently displays only cloud-managed devices. Devices that are managed by ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine do not appear in EP1, even when Site Engine is running in connected mode.

In this scenario, the AP305C access points are natively managed by ExtremeCloud IQ Cloud, which is why they appear correctly in EP1. The switches and the Site Engine server itself are managed by XIQ Site Engine, so they are only visible in the XIQ Classic dashboard through the integration or directly in the XIQ Site Engine interface.

At this time, EP1 is not a unified single-pane view for infrastructure managed by XIQ Site Engine. Connected mode mainly provides cloud-based licensing visibility and limited data exchange, but it does not extend device inventory visibility into EP1. Because of that, this behavior is by design and not caused by a licensing or firmware issue. XIQ Site Engine version 25.5 is fully supported.

I hope this helps clarify how the different platforms work together.

Best regards,
Luis
Greetings from Brazil
