Solution
It is not possible, using any means of management short of resetting the System (example: a power cycle), to reset these port statistics on the N or S Series. Per RFC, neither the

code:

dot1dBridge

nor the

ifMIB

(both within

MIB-2

) counters may be cleared.

The N and S Series do, however, support the clearing of RMON Statistics for individual ports (5434). Since the MIB2 and RMON counters provide an overlap of functionality, the ability to clear RMON stats may represent a practical workaround to the inability to clear MIB2 stats.
