Symptoms
A stream of 'MRT: assertion (0) failed...' errors scroll in a serial console session (5463).

An example with C2 f/w 5.02.08.0006 or 5.02.09.0003:MRT: assertion (0) failed at line 1706 file prefix.cAn example with C3 f/w 6.42.03.0004:MRT: assertion (0) failed at line 1893 file
../../../../src/application/ip_mcast/vendor/igmp2/prefix.cAs these messages are related to multicast functionality, it may be observed that multicast no longer functions.

Solution
For the I/G/C5/C3/B5/B3, upgrade to firmware 6.61.07.0010 or higher.

For the C2, upgrade to firmware 5.02.17.0006 or higher.
