Article ID: 12586

Products
G-Series, firmware 6.03.00.0022 and higher
C3-Series, firmware 6.03.00.0022 and higher
B3-Series, firmware 6.03.00.0022 and higher

Goals
Protocol traffic analysis.
Maximum number of sFlow instances.
SFlow support on LAG ports.

Solution
Although the switch hardware has the capability to sample packets on any physical port (not LAG ports); to ensure that CPU utilization is not compromised, the number of sFlow samplers that can be configured per switch or stack of switches is limited to a maximum of 32. There is no limitation on the number of pollers that can be configured.

This means that Flow Sampling ('set sflow sampler...') is limited to a maximum of 32 ports per system (violation: "Incorrect input! Maximum Samplers Limit(32) exceeded."), while Counter Sampling ('set sflow poller...') is not port-limited.
