Symptoms
Received an error message in the CLI:

Exceeded maximum size allowed for all configuration scripts. Please delete existing script and try again.

Received an error message in the Inventory Manager log:

Device Reported - Exceeded maximum size allowed for all configuration scripts.

Cause
The operation would generate a file too large for the space available in the system's

code:

configs

directory.

Solution/Workaround
There are two likely resolutions to this issue:

show config all outfile configs/

show system utilization storage

Flash Images, Config, Other

delete configs/

.cfg

If they don't resolve the problem, then note that this symptom may also occur as a C5/B5 firmware 6.41.01.0022 issue, in conjunction with Inventory Manager use. The fix is as of firmware 6.41.02.0007, but it is strongly recommended to upgrade to the latest available firmware version (13325).
