Hi,
Can the bandwidth on the support site available for downloads be somehow increased. Even when you are at location that has large amounts of available bandwidth files don't seem to download much faster than 500Kbps.

Particularly when downloading the software updates this can take a large amount of time, when you are trying to address issues and didn't pre-download things, or when you have to be mobile and don't have a continuous connection for the several hours the downloads take.

Thank you

Hi, I wanted to bump this again. Working at a customer site and ran into a case where we needed to upgrade again and there are new releases. The customer has plenty of bandwidth but our download speeds are still throttled to what is currently estimated as an hour. This is an issue for those of us in the field that don't always know what we are going to run into. Please take a look at doing something to fix this. Thank you
We've released our content delivery network changes to production, and are in the process of validating the changes. Over the course of the next 1-2 weeks, we'll begin pointing product links to the new filestore.

If you have particular products that you download often and would like to see repointed, respond here and we'll get those set up and let you know.
This improvement is targeted specifically to the SW Downloads on the Support Portal listed as follows:

Downloads for Purview, IdentiFi, NetSight, SecureStack, S/K/7100-Series, NAC, IPS/SIEM, Ridgeline and SDN

The biggest pain point in Slow SW Downloads feedback came from this lot, so the improvement Marc just updated the community on comes as welcome news.

Said another way, there is no change to the SW Downloads from the other navigation branch on the Support Portal:

Downloads for BlackDiamond Series, Summit Series, E4G, ExtremeXOS and EOS

Long-term, we're committed to a consistent SW Download experience across all of our products. The behind the scenes to this solution is a huge step forward for us!

Like Marc said, if you have a bad experience downloading a specific SW file, please let us know! REF: http://support.extremenetworks.com
I still can't download NMS suit at first try. Yesterday I started to download nac_appliance_64bit.6.2.0.211.iso, it said it will take 4-5 hours to download. This morning I saw it failed to complete the download. I restarted to download again. It says 4 hours (100-124 kb/s) to complete. This is a real pain.

Rahman-

That specific file had not been re-pointed to our CDN yet. We just completed that, so you should be able to log back in, refresh that screen and be able to download the file from our CDN.

Keep in mind that the first time a file is requested from a specific region, it comes from a CDN server in the northeast United States, and is cached on local servers. So, it may not be considerably faster until the 2nd download attempt.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
