Whole switch ports mirror for Enterasys family

The question dedicated for A4,B5,C5 and I series, could we able to mirror the whole ports or VLANs of that switches to one port?

ie→ need to create SPAN port on each type to mirror the traffic inside the switch “VLANS, ports”

Hello Amr,

no, when you mirror all ports to one,then this port is flooded with more data than it can handle. As an example, 10x 1G on a 1G port cannot work.

This is one of the reasons why Extreme uses techniques like CoreFlow or special policies for analytics in order not to have to read the entire traffic.
