X440-G2 Read-Only User Role – Unable to Run show configuration (Permission Denied)

Hi team,

I’m working with ExtremeXOS version 31.7.1.4 on X440-G2 switches and have configured RADIUS authentication using Aruba ClearPass. I’ve assigned a user to the built-in read-only role (Operator), but they are unable to execute the show configuration command — the switch returns a “permission denied” message.

As per my understanding, Extreme switches only support the default read-only and read-write roles without custom role creation or privilege adjustments.

Questions:

Is there any supported method to allow the show configuration command for a user assigned to the read-only role?
Can any additional RADIUS VSA or configuration on the switch allow this specific command for operator-level users?
Are there firmware versions or ExtremeControl integrations that support more granular privilege control.

Any insight or workaround would be appreciated.
