Feature request: create XIQ evaluation licences through partner portal

Hey there,

I just wanted to know if you already had the “issue” that we partners cannot create evaluation keys for XIQ. We can create all sorts of evaluation licenses, including XMC, XCC, Identifi etc. but we can not create keys for XIQ.

Some customers already asked me if they could somehow extend the 30-day trial period of the XIQ pilot but I am not sure if there is any way to do so.

I think it would be very nice if partners could create new evaluation licenses to further extend the trial period for our customers if they need more than 30 days to evaluate the XIQ… especially now during COVID-19 it sometimes seems complicated for customers to test all devices/clients with XIQ which sometimes means that 30 days aren’t enough to fully evaluate the solution.

Is there anyone else who would like to have this feature?

Hello Christian,

the hero forum is the perfect place. You have only to select “Product Suggestions” on the top to submit your suggestion.

But I think can move your post to the correct place.

I’m both hands for it 🙂
We are still in early stage of new License Entitlement Manager (LEM) rollout, so even internally we are still working on tools and information sources.

So that capability will come, stay tuned. For now you can ask myself or your nearest Extreme SE manager to help you with trial licenses.
BTW, every Universal HW switch (5xxx series) comes with free 1yr Pilot entitlement, which can be perfectly used for trials/pilot installs
