Hello folks,
I need interconnect many extreme Switch, when try to connect Sw1 and Sw2, (See picture), A broadcast storm block both Switchs, I have many Vlans and the ports are in trunk Mode.
Which is the way to interconnect two Extreme Switch, I need LACP?. The STP is disabled.

From my point of view you need STP. Maybe EAPS (Ring Topology) could be a solution, depends on the scenario. What Switch is the Core Switch? Also Extreme? What type?

And Why do you want a interconnect of SW1 and SW2 with all the VLANS? Do you want to avoid downtime if the core fails or what is your idea behind this?

Best Regards
Thanks Michael for reply,
The core switch is a Cisco 6509, I need connect Sw1 and Sw2 because do not have an Advanced Edge Licence and Sw1 is Default Gateway for servers in my Vlans.
One question more, if I have a VRRP Licence don´t have to connect SW1 and SW2, right?

Thanks again

You can configure an ERPS ring between the Cisco switch, SW1 and SW2 as ERPS is an open standard. You can then configure the Link between SW1 and SW2 to be your blocking port. That should take care of your storm. Let me know if you need configuration examples.

Hi, this is how you would generally configure your ERPS ring. I'd advise you reference the XOS User Guide that's available on the Extreme Website from page 1029 onward. Otherwise, the below configuration is the basic ERPS setup

create vlan <CONTROL-VLAN> tag
create vlan tag You'll need to add your control ports that will handle East and West traffic in the ERPS ring to your Control VLAN

create erps <RING-NAME>
configure erps <RING-NAME> add control <VLAN>
configure <RING> add protected <VLAN>
configure <RING> protection-port
configure <RING> ring-port east
configure <RING> ring-port west enable erps <RING-NAME> enable erps
You'll do something similar on all three switches making sure all you ring ports can communicate with each other. If this is a little cumbersome, you can configure an MLAG/vPC as Marco has outlined below. Regards</RING-NAME></RING></RING></RING></VLAN></RING></VLAN></RING-NAME></RING-NAME></CONTROL-VLAN>

I World try to configure the Ports on Cisco to Sw1 and Sw2 as a LinkAggregationGroup. Sw1 and Sw2 will build a MLAG with their Ports to the core. MLAG is a "Virtual LAG" between Ports of two non-Stacked Switches The Interconnection beteten Sw1 and Sw2 will be the so called ISC. Once you have configured MLAG correctly you will be able to connect your Servers redundantly to Sw1 and SW2 with their Ports configure as MLAG-PAIR. Another solution Would be to build a Stack out of Sw1 and Sw2. In this case the link between Sw1 and Sw2 will be the stackingcabe cable.

Hello,
Customer I asked configure in my trunk ports in SW1 and SW2:

storm-control broadcast level 20.00

no cdp enable

spanning-tree bpdufilter enable

spanning-tree bpduguard enable

These commands are for Cisco IOS, the question is, wich are the equivalence in Extreme EXOS.

Thanks
The Problem was solved with stacking cable and LAG betwen SW1 and SW2, working in redundancy mode "Maximal".
