topic Switch C5 PoE in Network Architecture & Design

Hi.

I installed a switch C5 C5K125-48 firmware version 06.81.07.0004, the manual and datasheet for this switch say that have feature PoE, but when I consulted the answer is:

- SW_C5_TEEREOB(su)->show inlinepower Detection Mode:auto

Unit   Status   Power(W)   Consumption(W)   Usage(%)   Threshold(%)   Trap      Mgmt Mode
----   ------   --------   --------------   --------   ------------   --------  ----------

- SW_C5_TEEREOB(su)->set port inlinepower ge.1.1 capability 802.3af Error: The specified port is, or ports are, not valid for use with inlinepower.

Anyone can help?

Thks
If there is no "P" in the model name, i.e. C5K125-48P then it isn't a PoE switch.

Hi Paulo,

That model does not support PoE.

You can confirm that in the link below:

http://www.extremenetworks.com/product/c-series

Just click in PoE Specifications to check which model supports PoE
