How to change the password using the console

Please can you tell me how to change the password for the chalet using the console. I just cannot remember the password. I know to keep it simple this time. Thanks for your help. I am able to log in using the console and the failsafe password for now. Note: This conversation was created from a reply on: How can I use chalet on a new switch?.

Hi Ruth,

The chalet password and the console password are the same. If you are in the CLI using the fail safe password you should be able to change it there:

Unfortunately this will not work if you don't know the original password. As a workaround you can create a new account:

"create account admin "

This can be used to login in the future.
