If Summit X440 is 1G uplink model, they can be configured as a stack using SummitStack stacking ports on the rear side. But, Summit X440 is 10G uplink model, they can not be configured as a stack.

Hi Daniel,

As an added resource, below is a link that shows a matrix of different Summit switches, if they can be stacked and any dependencies.

http://documentation.extremenetworks.com/summit_16/Summit_Family_HW_Install/Stacking/r_combining-switches-from-different-series.shtml

Hope this helps.

As Kevin mentioned, we would need to confirm if the x440 is a 10G uplink model. In the 'show switch' output, the Sys Name field it will show the full type of the switch, for example: Summit x440-48p-10G. If the "10G" is present it will not stack with the x250. If the switch shows as x440-48p it should stack ok.
