Hello,
Looking to optimize our Wireless environment. Reviewing our customized rate settings in Extreme Cloud IQ, I see that there are two rates set as basic. This doesn't match Extreme documented recommendations. What impact would this have on my network? For example, would it assume the higher or lower rate as basic?
Thanks!

Multiple basic rates can lead to unexpected client behavior and potential interference. Clients might negotiate connections at unintended rates, leading to slower speeds, increased latency, and even dropped connections. Some older devices might not support all the defined basic rates, leading to connection failures. The network may not operate at its optimal efficiency due to suboptimal rate selection. Refer to the official Extreme Networks documentation for the recommended basic rate settings for your specific AP models and operating system. Ideally, you should have only one basic rate. If you must have multiple, ensure they are logically ordered and compatible with your environment.

Thanks for your reply, Kevin. Are you aware of any circumstances where multiple basic rates would be needed? How would they be logically ordered?
Thanks again!
