I'm experiencing difficulties configuring VLANs on my Extreme Networks switch. Despite following standard procedures, some devices are unable to communicate across VLANs as expected. I've ensured that the VLANs are properly assigned and tagged, but the issue persists. Could someone provide insights into possible misconfigurations or debugging steps to resolve this problem? Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

laura87darwin,
I want to make sure I'm understanding the issue you're having... Are devices on the same VLAN not able to communicate with each other, or devices in different VLANs not being able to communicate?
Thanks,
Bill

Hello,
Check the following for VLAN issues on your Extreme Networks switch:
Enable routing: Use enable ipforwarding vlan <vlan-name>.
Assign VLAN IPs: Set IPs with configure vlan <vlan> ipaddress <IP>/<mask>.
Tag ports properly: Ensure trunk ports have all needed VLANs tagged.
Check ACLs/Policies: Make sure nothing blocks inter-VLAN traffic.
Test connectivity: Ping gateway IPs from devices.
Best Regard,
Dona
