Netsight CLI: How to see older syslog mesasges of a switch?

Hello community,

i want to see older syslog messages of a X450-G2 switch but on the webinterface of the Netsight i can only see the last 24h.

I’ve read, that the older files are zipped and stored within the Netsight.

Is there a possibility to see the older logs (logs from the 23th february)  over the CLI of the Netsight?

Greetings,

Benjamin

Hello,

Syslogs are rotated and zipped in the /var/log/syslog file. If you gunzip them they can be read through traditional linux methods. (cat, more, vi, vim)

They can also be transferred to other systems and viewed with a text reader. eg notepad.

Thanks
