7520-series GA time

7520-series GA time

Hi Sirs

for universal 7520 series I have some questions .

GA time of 7520-48Y-8C & 7520-48T-6C is July-2023 ,

but GA time 7520-48YE-8CE is Nov-2023 ,so  GA time of 7520-48Y-8C & 7520-48T-6C is still July ?

Why is there a need for an additional device that supports all interface MACsec functionality for the 7520?

The 7520 will replace the VSP7400 and X695 (identical HW). And they were mainly designed for datacenter usage. In datacenter enviroments normaly you don't need macsec. So a cheaper phyless chip hardware is enough.

But from the ports and other features this devices are also good as core / distribution / aggregation devices. And there is sometimes / often macsec required. We as partner and our customers are very happy about this anouncement.

Only the GA could be earlier 😉

I have another question

Could Universal 7720 support macsec in the all port like 7520-48YE-8CE ?
