Cables, connectors and SFPs required for Stacking x670

Cables, connectors and SFPs required for Stacking x670

Hi

We need to stack four switches (Summit X670-G2-48x-4q-Base-Unit), two in each rack. We are going to use native 40G QSFP+ ports (49-64) for stacking.

As we can't connect the 40G ports on switches directly, we have to route them via the patch panels (Brand: Huber+Suhner). And as the patch panels don't have 40G ports, it has only 10G ports, we are thinking of using fan out cables while connecting switches with the patch panels.

Questions:
What's the recommended method of connecting switches in such a scenario?

1. Directly connecting 40G ports using QSFP+ cables?
If this is the recommended method, are the following SFPs and cables correct?

10319-- QSFP+ SR4 module 40 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP+ SR4 optical module, MPO connector, 100m MMF link length

10336-- 3m QSFP+ Active Optical Cable 40 Gigabit QSFP+ active optical cable, 3m

2. Using 40G-to-10G fan out cables in each rack to connect to the patch panels. If yes, what would be required inventory (SFPs, cables, etc)? If you have done this before and can provide with part numbers it would be great.
3. Something else?

Kindly let me know if you have any queries?

Best regards
