Hello Ali,

For clarification, are you referring to Load balancing or Load sharing?

Our switches are not able to load balance meaning that an even amount of traffic is sent out each port in a LAG or in any other scenario. The recommendations Henrique mentioned will allow load sharing which means that the traffic is sent out ports using an algorithm that way there is no overhead or extra processing.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Ali,
Welcome to The Hub! I see this topic was marked as "private" but I don't see any content here that warrants privacy. I've changed it to "public" so others can assist if Henrique's response doesn't answer your questions. I've also updated the topic's title to help make it a little more clear for others.

Hi Ali,

Regarding NLB, if you are referring to MS NLB, please see the article below:

https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/How_To/How-to-configure-Extreme-switches-to-handl...

However, If you are trying to accomplish traffic load balancing you can use MLAG/LAG. You can find more details in the article below:

https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/How_To/How-to-configure-MLAG-in-Extreme-switches

Using MLAG you will have 2 x440 switches acting as a single logical unit (not stacked).

Please let us know if you have any question.

If you want to stack the switches, please check the article below:
