elrp-client software  & elrp-client hardware-assist 

which one should i use ?? 

i think hardware-assist needs loopback port What is wasted port.  So

is there any reason to use hardware-assist elrp ??

Software based ELRP uses the CPU for processing the packets. If the switch is under load, these packets may be de-prioritised in favour of real world packets, so the switch under unusual circumstances may miss either sending or receiving and miss a loop. Haven't seen this happen in 15 years of using software based ELRP on very large networks, but it could happen.

Hardware assist uses the Network Asics, which as you say, wastes a port, however packet send/receive is guaranteed.
