Hi Team,

At customer site, we have an X440G2 Switch that encountered high CPU utilization caused by cliMaster process (~30% in avg, ~70% at peak), even web https/https are disabled & no abnormal log observed as well.
Could you please let me know what is the best approach?
Thank you in advance.

High cpu due to cli process is normal and you should see this anytime you log in and issue commands. It can also be caused if and when you trigger a backup of the active configuration. This is why we do all back ups during off hours. Also remember 99 % of what that switch is doing is being done in hardware so having High CPu usage only effects things the cpu has to process and not switch known network traffic.

You should have a log entry at the same time youo see the high usage showing who or what maybe using the cli
