You will need to run the AP in WiNG mode if you plan on using the CLI for management and want to truly manage in standalone mode. To do this though, you will need to first onboard the AP onto ExtremeCloud IQ (You can create a free personal account to do this). After onboarding the AP into XIQ, you can then choose to 'convert' the AP into WiNG OS mode (Actions -> Change OS to WING). You can then find online WING CLI guides and other instructional documents to fully manage the AP all on its own.
