web login vx9000 generates a syslog message with source ip 0.0.0.0

Hi,

When I login to the vx9000 with the web interface, it generates a syslog message with source ip 0.0.0.0 instead of the actual users address. When I login using the old wing manager, the message does contain the source address of the user.

This is the syslog message I get when logging into the web interface, it shows: "from: 0.0.0.0"

<189>2024-01-29T08:00:51.043305+01:00 VX9000-SERVER %SYSTEM-5-UI_USER_AUTH_SUCCESS: UI user 'admin' from: '0.0.0.0' authentication successful

is this a bug?

Hi,

We do not have a support subscription with extreme, that's why I posted it here in the community forum. I don't think this is a specific case, and probably is just a bug/design choice in the firmware. The version of the firmware is stated in my first post.
