APs blocks LPR protocol?

APs blocks LPR protocol?

Hello community,

We just replaced our WiFi solution with Extreme. Any idea, why APs blocks TCP-515 (LPR/LPD) protocol, used by our network printer?

If I am connected to old WiFi, it is working fine. I tried to do a packet capture on edge firewall and I can see that first LPR packet after TCP-handshake is blocked.

Any idea, what could be wrong? Thank you for suggestions.

Regards, Michal

Thank you for letting me know. Would you be able to send me the packet capture where you see the TCP traffic blocked? My direct email is communityhelp@aerohive.com.

Hi Sam, we use ExtremeCloud IQ. IP firewall is disabled under User Profile.

Any traffic that is blocked should be specified in the IP firewall rules found in the user profile of the SSID. If you can let me know which HiveManager platform you're using, I can give you more specific instructions on where to check for rules that would block traffic.

This guide will walk you through how to determine which HiveManager you are using, for reference: https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Which-HiveManager-Platform-am-I-using
