Guest accounts disappearing - not in audit logs !

Hi,

We run HMNG On Prem 12.8.3.1 and have an SSID with PPSK

 

We have a group creating keys with a 92 day lifetime and a 5 day time period to activate the keys.

The "remove expired accounts/guests" checkbox is NOT ticked.

 

We are seeing accounts disappear and this delete does NOT show in the audit logs on the HM.

We believe that the account may have not been activated (used) within the 5 days although the user says they did - but as there is no record we cannot tell.

 

This delete does not appear to happen on exactly the 5 day mark - so possibly this is a weekly cleanup task ?

 

We also see this occur on truly expired accounts for other (shorter lifespan) groups that also do NOT have the remove/delete option checked. This is definitely a bug - but one of lower impact to us.

 

Does anyone know what the expected behaviour is supposed to be for each scenario ?

 

Does anyone know if this issue is fixed in later builds ?

We did have similar issues with the 12.x versions, would you be able to update to the latest and let us know if you still have the issue? The expected behavior would be that accounts are only removed after they've expired, if the option to delete after expiration is checked. Otherwise all user accounts should remain present in the GUI.
