APs are working, but when I want to change anything, device update failed with message The CLI save dhcp-fingerprint option 55 https: .... basic execute failed. I tried to set one AP to factory and reset again, but the same error

Hi,

we are setting up an onprem version of HMNG. I tried to add 2 AP's in there and for both I get the same error as mentioned in the initial message of this thread. Both AP's are AP130's. They have different OS'es: one is on 6.5r7 and one is on 8.2r5 => both have the same issue. What can I do to fix this?

I tried with different policies already, but it doesn't even want to start pushing the config...

Best regards,

Bram

thanks a lot for your help and time. I contacted Sam Pirok directly

Hi Zbynek,

I think you need to manually update the APs through the WebUI (http://IPofAP) and log in with the default credentials (if factory reset) of admin/aerohive or Aerohive1

Sam Pirok will be able to provide the link to the firmware I believe 🙂

Hi Ashley

on the APs is HiveOS version 6.5r4.

Firewall setting should be fine, because the others APs can be set. Now I tried connect one AP to public network without FireWall and the same error.

HI Zbynek,

This is usually one of two things:

First of all I'd check firewall rules to make sure traffic isn't blocked. I had the same error recently which was down to the firewall IP range. These can be found here: https://cloud.aerohive.com/support/Amsterdam.html

Alternatively, the AP may be on too old of a version currently and may need updating through the Web UI. Which version is it currently on?
