Hello,
My customer environment is using Aerohive AP120 (HiveOS 6.5r5), AP121(HiveOS6.5r8), & A122(HiveOS 8.2r2 or HiveOS 7.0r4). Currently Hive manager version is 6.8r7a, they would like to upgrade Hive manager equivalent to AP HiveOS newest version. I planned to upgrade Hivemanager & HiveOS all equivalent to their newest HIveOS version for them which is 8.2r2, is it ok for all their available AP compatible with Hivemanger (for 8.2r2)?
Greatly appreciate for any advice given
Best regards,.

Unfortunately the 120 is end of life, so it won't be compatible with the later firmware versions. The latest we would recommend for that model is 6.5r10. The 121 is still receiving updated firmware, but that model is still using the 6.5 line and the latest we'd recommend for that model is 6.5r12. You can check what the current firmware recommendation is for any model at this page, which gets updated when we release new versions- https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/question/0D50c00005jmpq9CAA/aerohive-hiveos-access-point-mat...

HI Sam Pirok,
Thank you for the advice, but I got a bit confuse. example for the HiveOS 8.2 r2 release notes, mentioned supported AP - AP122, AP122X, AP130, AP150W, AP230, AP245X, AP250, AP550, AP1130, for the AP model AP120 & AP121 can it be supported also?

Yes, all of the older HiveOS versions will work with the latest HiveManager versions, and you'll be able to upgrade to the latest HiveOS when you have the latest HiveManager version. You can always check what HiveManager versions a HiveOS is compatible with in the HiveOS release notes, which can be found here: http://docs.aerohive.com/330000/docs/help/english/ng/Content/reference/docs/release-notes.htm?Highlight=Release%20notes
