Is there anyway to tell which data center my Hivemanager ng is hosted in, we have been getting updates during the day (not ideal)

Just an update to this thread. It is now possible to de-activate and and then re-activate the entitlement keys on a new target VHM. i.e you do not need support to recreate EKs anymore. So the process to move RDC's is to create a new VHM on the new RDC. Export the configuration and inventory from the source VHM. Restore the VHM export to the new VHM. 'Unmanage' the devices on the Source VHM, ( this will update the redirector). Deactivate all the EK's and Activate on the new VHM. Change the devices on the new VHM to 'Manage' they will handshake to the new RDC and everything will be cut over. You can then update the Master Admin GDC alias on the original VHM to a different address and update the new VHM Master Admin GDC alias with the original email address.

Yes, once you move you'll want to open a support case with ATAC and ask them to re-create your keys for you so you can apply them to the new HiveManager. Before you move, run a backup of the HiveManager and export it, then import it in to your new HiveManager, that should bring over your device inventory and maps. Before you leave your original HiveManager, remove all devices from the device inventory so you will be able to add them to your new device inventory. If you get an errors stating the serial number is already in use by another VHM, send ATAC the serial number and they'll get it freed up for you.

our ng is cloud-ie rather than cloud-aus. if we were to create a new hive manager account would it be possible to move all licensing and existing devices to the new instance?

You can tell what Regional Data Center (RDC) you are using by checking the URL of your NG instance when you are logged in. You will see something along the lines of cloud-va, cloud-va2, cloud-ie, cloud-aus, etc. This RDC is chosen when you first register for the HiveManager instance, based on the country and location you chose when registering. There is no way to change the data center you are using after you create the HiveManager. In order to move to a different HiveManager RDC, you would need to register for a new HiveManager account, and enter a different location in the registration form.
