Hello Sam,
at the end, i had to enable on my antispam system the relay based on your (current) IP address 34.242.xxx.xxx using as a sender a fake @aerohive address.

You'll want to look for the HiveManager dns look up for your URL up to aerohive.com.

We aren't going to be sending an email through our own servers, we send it through your server/email, so it needs your SMTP server information.
I tried testing the test email, but I got the same error as you. I put in a known good email address, and had the same problem. This narrows the problem down to the SMTP server we're trying to use. My best guess is either 1) the authentication/encryption is bad and the server is rejecting it, which is then being interpreted as a n invalid email address or 2) The server won't let us send from an email address, and it might need a mailbox instead of an individual address.
