Various questions on import process ! :-)

Hi,

I'm trying to find out answers to the following, can anyone help ?

1) Are there any issues importing values with a leading '0' zero when using HiveManager in a server environment ?

2) Do numeric chrs HAVE to be used or can it just be alpha ?

3) Are there any invalid chrs when importing, such as / @ $ etc ?

4) Lastly, what is the maximum chr length of the various fields when importing ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated ! 🙂

Hello,

To answer your questions:

1) Yes, you would want to check the file you are importing to make sure the serial number field is set to a number format. There shouldn't be any issues with serial numbers using leading 0's.

2) Serial numbers have to be numerical, but passwords for users don't have to use numbers, you can set that in the user group settings. Could you clarify where you are entering these characters?

3) All characters should be usable when importing csv. files into HiveManager.

4) Could you specify a field you are interested in, and what kind of import you are doing?
