It won't cause them to stop working as the APs don't rely on contacting the cloud or a controller as such to connect users etc. As such APs can work fine whilst being cut off from the HiveManager. The only slight blip you may notice I believe is if you use PPSKs as an authentication method as these will be a service on the HiveManager in an on-prem instance (happy to be corrected though!)
