Fellow Analytics Users,

I have noticed that after upgrading to 22.9.10.73 that I see a bunch of:

Undefined-1600008

application that comes up mostly for https server port. I have not seen this before.

Anyone else?

Thanks,

I added my analytics servers to DNS and made sure nslookup can look forward and reverse from both servers... still I have 20 - 30 entries of undefined. not sure if that is same issue or something else.

Thanks,

Hi Chad5

We thought we fixed the issue 😞 Sorry to hear that it is not fixed. This helped our other customers with this issue.

Workaround 1:

Solution was updating the host files with the names and the IP’s of the Analytics and management center.

https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000099204

or

Workaround 2:

  1. Login to XIQ-SE

              (Make a copy of appid.xml)

  1. cp /usr/local/Extreme_Networks/NetSight/appdata/Purview/Fingerprints/appid.xml appid.xml.orig

(Copy the appid.xml from nextgen to Fingerprints folder)

  1. cp /usr/local/Extreme_Networks/NetSight/appdata/Purview/Fingerprints/nextgen/appid.xml /usr/local/Extreme_Networks/NetSight/appdata/Purview/Fingerprints/.
  2. Restart netsight server

If there is a auto or manual live update, we have to re-run the above steps again.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will give that a try.

Just a note that I see this issue this morning for only 18 rows in the application flows. They are recent (based on last seen) so the issue must be happening for only few rows. But I'll check out your recommendations and see if that helps.

Thanks,
