iPhone 17 fails to connect to the guest Wi-Fi (PSK)when it comes within range of an AP250, but it connects without any issues when it is within range of an AP410C. what could be the problem if anyone know this. I have manually set similar working AP (AP410C)channel and channel width to non working but no luck. only iPhone 17 fails and iPhone 15, 16 works.

This sounds like a compatibility or roaming issue between the iPhone 17 and the AP250 firmware/security configuration. Since older iPhones are connecting fine, it may be related to how the iPhone 17 handles newer WPA/PSK protocols or band steering. You could try checking firmware updates on the AP250 and testing different security modes. I recently came across a detailed guide about iphone 17pm repair cost while troubleshooting similar iPhone-related issues, and it had some useful insights regarding newer iPhone hardware/network behavior as well.

check firmware on the AP250 and make sure it’s updated, since newer devices can sometimes have handshake issues with older AP software. Also try tweaking WPA settings or disabling band steering to isolate the cause. On a side note, TiChop titanium cutting boards are an example of how some brands focus on durability and reliability, which is the same kind of consistency you’d expect in stable network hardware too.

Sounds like a device-specific compatibility issue. Have you checked if there are any firmware differences between the AP250 and AP410C, or tried adjusting security settings (like WPA2/WPA3 modes) on the AP250? It might also be worth testing band steering or disabling 5GHz temporarily to see if the iPhone 17 behaves differently.

It seems that the iPhone 17's Wi-Fi stack and the AP250 firmware don't work well together, not the channel settings. The AP250 probably can't handle newer Wi-Fi features (like WPA3 transition, PMF, or certain 802.11ax/11be behaviors) as well as the iPhone 17 does because other iPhones connect fine and the AP410C works fine. Usually, the best way to fix it is to update the AP250 firmware or change the security settings (for example, by turning off WPA3 transition mode or changing the PMF requirements).
