AP250 set poe mode to AF

AP250 set poe mode to AF

Ive got a switch where adding a few security cameras goes over the poe capacity.
I notice the AP250s connected to this switch all are running as 802AT and I want to change them down to Af
I can't seem to find anyway to do this
Found this cli mode command listed

system power-mode <802.3af/802.3at/auto>

when I ran system power-mode 802.3af
the command goes through but the stats don't appear to change
is this because the unit would need to be rebooted to reconfigure itself upon which the cli would have to be reapplied?
Ive tried just disconnecting and reconnecting the ethernet but this doesn't appear to do anything
I'm just not convinced the command is actually doing anything.

Its been a while, but i seem to remember this command (for the switch):

interface ethernet xx poe-lldp-detect enabled

where "xx" is the port number, so if port 40 needed AF, it would be: interface ethernet 40 poe-lldp-detect enabled

could be the camera's can negotiate with the switch with the above changes...  let us know how it goes.

Maybe worth a try?

and:

I was able to get AT power running on the AP550's by using the following command:

"no lldp config <port#> dot3TlvEnable poeplus_config" as of right now it is stable.

Hope that helps.
