Summary

ExtremeCloud IQ (XIQ) 24r6 release and APs running IQEngine (IQE) 10.6r7 or later will experience connectivity issues with wireless clients when management options in the Network Policy are applied to the AP. 

 

Impact

Wireless network clients are not able to obtain an IP address via DHCP. 

 

Software Affected

ExtremeCloud IQ (XIQ) 24r6

IQEngine (IQE) 10.6r7 or later

 

Symptoms

Wireless clients are unable to obtain an IP address via DHCP due to relay agent dropping DHCP packets containing Option 82.

 

Work around

Enable supplemental CLI with the below command:

'no forwarding-engine dhcp-opt-82 enable'
