unreliable config audit flag feedback

I’ve suspected this for a while, but haven’t gotten around to posting. I often see audit flags that are orange, and if I check, both the “audit” and “delta” tab list no changes. This icon and functionality become useless if this gives inaccurate information. Is anyone else seeing similar behavior?

It’s very possible that is the case, as I have a single network policy for all devices, and many many objects. That combined with multiple admins would make it very difficult to pin that down. I’ll make a point to avoid the save button for now and see if I notice it again.

There might be a bug, but I just wanted to mention that the audit icon can get triggered if you open an object that’s in use in the current network policy and then close out by saving, even if no changes are made. That may not be happening here, wanted to mention it just in case.
