I am looking for information for an adapter to use with our C5G and B5 switches for the console port. We have a couple of aging laptops let with Windows Vista that have a serial port on them and I want to get away from those laptops and use what we currently have. Is there a USB to DB9 or RJ45 to DB9 that can be used for these with a Windows 7\10 laptop? Does the switches support this?

So I don't guess the RJ45 to DB9 adapter would work with these switches? We have some old ones that came with some old Cisco equipment that is no longer in use.

Yes, there are several USB to serial adapter on Amazon. I prefer the $20 ones personally as I have had better luck with them.
