Add switch to existing stack ERS4950GTS

Hi,

I added a switch to an existing stack.

the stack healty is shown ok.

the software on all switches is the same v7.6.02.019. The firmware is also equal, without the base switch. Is a ERS4950GTS-PWR+, there is no firmware shown.

I don’t reboot the stack after adding.

On new switch the default vlan works, but I can’t use all other vlans.

Computer with/without static IP have no network connect. the rest of the stack works fine.

Any ideas.

I am at a loss

Thanks Frank

Hi,

ich checked 2 Ports. One from then new switch and one from a correct port. Both are equal.

I checked from cli and web-ui.

Hi, My first guess would be that the new unit does not have the ports configured. When a switch is added to the stack it inherits all the global settings from the base, but the port config remains at the default settings. Use command - show vlan interface verbose - to check the vlan config for the ports. When you add new ports to a vlan make sure you use - vlan members add - or you will overwrite the existing config. You will also need to set tagging and PVID on the new unit ports - and any other port specific settings such as slpp-guard and dhcp-snooping.
