Three years later, the problem has resurfaced. It appears that certain devices are causing "flapping," preventing the MAC table from clearing normally.
I tried locking the negotiation to 100 Full and forcing the PoE mode, but nothing works - the flapping persists and mac-address-table keep growing. I change aging-time to 100 and 30, growing slowly, but steel growing.
Have you ever encountered this problem? What can be done, and why does "flapping" interfere with normal operation ?
