restore config from backup

Hi,

I'm trying to transfer a backup from a 3549GTS-PWR+ to another 3549GTS-PWR+, but I get an error “Cannot use configuration data from a different type of Baystack module.
Operation aborted.”

I use FW:5.3.0.10 and SW:5.3.12.009 on both switches.

The only difference I see is that one is HW:03 and the other is HW:06

Is this the Problem?

Thx for your answers

I fixed the problem 156f714689ef4e9abf9d345d8f7e3c1c_1f600.png

Yesterday I got the next 3 ERS3549 to configure and I tried a few things.

The problem is the command “boot default”, after that it’s not possible to restore the backup.

The solution is the command “restore factory-default”, after that I have no problem to install the backup.

Thanks for your help

It looks like ascii code

This was the command

copy config tftp address x.x.x.x filename switch1.txt

Thank you for letting me know they are not stacked. Could you also tell me if you are transferring the ascii or the binary configuration?

Hi Sam,

No both switches are stand alone.

% Switch not in stack.
*****IP Configuration*****

My first steps for the new switch was a factory reset and then an update to the latest software version.

After that i give it a new ip to connect to the TFTP

To save the config of a device and to play back on it self works.

Hi there, could you tell us if the switches are in a stack? Also, are you transferring the ascii or the binary configuration?
